Karribank was established in the early 1900s as a working dairy and fruit farm. Following the First World War, the homestead was expanded, and Mrs Faulkner began welcoming guests.
Believed to be the oldest continuously operated country retreat in Western Australia, it first hosted families arriving by train, horse-drawn buggy, and later, by bus. During the Second World War, Karribank became a refuge for families from Perth and Singapore, even hosting a school in the hall.
Over the years, visitors from across Australia - and more recently, from overseas - have discovered its serenity. In 1997, the Blythe family took on Karribank and began restoring the historic buildings, enabling guests to step back in time and still enjoy modern comforts.
In 2024, the current owners purchased Karribank with a vision to continue the long tradition of warm hospitality while transforming the property into a unique wellness retreat unlike anything else in Western Australia. Exciting opportunities are on the horizon for Karribank!
